• Occupation. According to Aunt Helen (in Nan's notes) George was in the scrap iron business as were his brothers. The "trolley car turnaround" was in front of the scrap yard. The family had live-in help. When the Kramers went on vacation Tante Pesha used to stay with Al the other other children even though the family had other help.

• Occupation. According to George's notes the scrap yard (he refers to it as an "iron company") was on Orange Avenue.

• Residence: address, Cir 1950, Cleveland OH. Rosie's address book shows 2790 East 130th St., Cleveland OH

• Census, 1910, Cleveland OH. 1910 Census shows George, 16, living with his father on Orange and employed as a worker in the iron yard.

• Miscellaneous: Street Car story, Cir 1905, Cleveland OH. Paul Kramer recalls Minnie Kramer telling the story as follows: The street car line ran on Orange Street, in front of the Scrap Yard, (and he thinks there was a turn-around at the corner although the city maps of the time don't necesesary show that) and a Jewish peddler was seeking to get on the street car when a bully overturned the peddler's cart. (Ron recalls the story being told that the bully was actually the conductor who made an anti-Semitic remark.) Anyway, the Kramer boys were all big, strapping fellows and they overheard what had occurred and wanted teach the bull a lesson. However, the bully wouldn't leave the street car to get his beating so they Kramer boys all picked up the street car off its tracks and turned it over on its side to force everyone onboard to get off the car. The bully emerged, was taught a lesson and then the Kramer boys put the car back on the tracks. (Ron recalls the story being told as though all of the Kramer boys participated. Paul thinks it was only four of the boys.)

• Name, 1893, Cleveland OH. His Hebrew name was Yosef.

• Business: Scrap Iron, 1920, Cleveland OH. George W. and his brother Charles went into business after World War I and began the Kramer Bros. Company. It appears to have operated unincorporated for a time but incorporated in 1922 with a capital stock of $15,000. The company must not have been successful and was out of business by 1924.

• Business: Kramer Brothers, 1920, Cleveland OH. The Cleveland City Directories show Charlie as working at Kramer Brothers. Apparently the business operated without incorporation beginning in 1920 (or perhaps before) but was incorporated in 1924 witih a capital stock of $15,000. Charles was the president, Paul H. Hamel was Vice-President, and George W. was the Secretary-Treasurer. The business was located at 796 Union Building. Their business was iron and steel. The business is not listed in the 1925 directory by which time George is shown only with an occupation of steel.
