There were only three of us today so we decided to forgo the car shuttle and to just hike from the Hersberger TH down to the Flat Creek Bridge.

The 80' bushwhack up from the trail to the old jeep road is steep and brushy. We actually missed the turn up point and ended up doing a bit of a loop to find the road. On the way back we went down more directly.

Noticed a trail branching off on the way back that may be an alternative way over to the jeep road and would avoid some of the up and down. Marked it with a way point on the topo and probably worth checking it out next time.

Flat Creek was running nicely, so the bridge crossing was much preferable to fording.
