If you've heard about this film, then you pretty
much know what it's all about: a cult that finds a certain eroticism
in car accidents. There's not much else to say. Either you'll
love it or you'll hate it.
When they say "must be 18 to rent", they really mean it!! If sex scenes were so graphic in a movie by anyone other than David Cronenberg, you'd find it in the porno section. James Spader, Deborah Kara Unger, Holly Hunter and Rosanna Arquette take on the most daring roles they (or any A-circut actor) are ever likely to encounter.
Vivid sex, vivid wrecks... and they're not trite fun. Bones get broken, sometimes even skulls. Your rib cage almost feels sore by the time the credits roll.
I thought that this movie was very weird, very challenging... and very fascinating. Definitely my kinda picture. If you want safe, go rent "Patch Adams".
